Why Willoughby Hearing Aid Center?

In 1949 Paul Willoughby opened a hearing aid dispensing office in Eugene, OR. His hard work, long hours, and devotion to caring for his customers paid off quickly, as he was asked to purchase the former Oregon Hearing Aid Center, in Portland. After moving his operations to Portland, Willoughby grew his staff to several dispensers that travelled the state, giving free hearing tests and selling hearing aids in every small town around the area.

Willoughby always kept the same focus, "Always put the customer first, and you'll never worry about the future." Eventually, cumbersome testing equipment, programming computers, and other essential tools needed in dispensing hearing aids, forced the company to open offices throughout the state. Branches sprung open in Oregon City, King City, Gresham and North Bend on the Oregon Coast.

After Willoughby's passing in 2001, his company continued on. His son and a long time employee became owners and still maintain that Customer Focused example of leadership, opening offices in Salem, Vancouver, Washington and Jacksonville in Southern Oregon. While our convenient locations make it easy to get hearing help, Willoughby dispensers are still making house calls, if a patient can't get in on their own.

For over 60 years, Willoughby Hearing Aid Centers has survived by keeping their business model simple. Always put the customer first. With over 200 years of combined experience, Willoughby's dispensing staff is not only friendly and talented, they have been the provider of choice by families and physicians throughout the area.
