LEXIS FM SYSTEM
Communication takes place in a variety of surroundings – at work, at home, at school, shopping and while you're traveling. For people with hearing loss, three environmental challenges make listening and understanding difficult in the above surroundings. Distance from the sound source, background noise and reverberation levels all make communication difficult – even with the best hearing aids.
Audibel’s wireless Lexis digital FM system helps Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aid users overcome these listening challenges. Lexis provides greater autonomy and the highest possible speech-intelligibility in poor listening situations.
Lexis consists of two basic components. A microphone/transmitter that is placed close to the sound source and an FM receiver attached to a BTE hearing aid.
The Lexis transmitter sends a wireless signal to the FM receiver attached to the hearing aid. This provides a direct and wireless link from the sound source to the hearing instrument wearer. The result is a dramatic reduction of background noise and cleaner, clearer amplification of the desired signal source.
